The Kesar mango is grown in the foothills of Girnar in Gujarat, Western India. The Kesar mango is India's second largest mango variety in terms of export - right after the popular Alphonso mango. It is a small to medium-sized fruit with a rounded shape and a distinctly curved tip. The yellow skin is dull and slightly speckled, although the fruit may have a green tinge when it is less ripe. Inside you will find a deep yellow-orange flesh, smooth and fragrant with an intense sweetness accompanied by a slightly tart aroma depending on the degree of ripeness.

Benefits:
Mangoes are very nutritious despite their high sugar content. They owe this to vitamins C, E and B, including vitamin B1 and folic acid. These protect the immune system and keep cells from the negative effects of stress.

Please note that the outer peel of the mango may have some dark spots, but this is purely cosmetic and has no impact on the quality of the fruit inside. Keep them in a cool, dry place.

Storage & Use:
Mangoes can easily be stored at room temperature. Because of their sweet taste, the popular Kesar mangoes are often eaten on their own or processed into sorbet, ice cream, lassi, soufflé, mousse, puree and similar culinary preparations.
