Schani - 400g Moong Tawa Chilla Flour

Moong Tawa Chilla Mix is a traditional Indian flour blend used to prepare thin, savory pancakes made from mung beans. Cooked on a hot griddle, the chillas are known for their light texture, mild seasoning, and well-balanced flavor. The mix allows for quick and even preparation and is ideal for breakfast, light meals, or healthy snacks, served plain or accompanied by chutneys and yogurt.

Preparation: Place the moong chilla premix in a bowl, add 720 ml of water, and mix into a smooth batter. Let the batter rest for 15–20 minutes. Preheat a tawa (griddle) and add a small amount of oil. Using your hands, pour portions of the batter onto the tawa to form small chillas. Cook over low heat until golden brown. For enhanced flavor, serve the moong chilla with lightly whipped plain white yogurt or green chutney.
